Growing Up

Well, I know that growing up is something that everyone has to do, but I wish that it would slow down just a little bit. We had a first in our household last week. We don't see too many of those anymore. And when we do, we are still very excited about them. Emma lost her very first tooth. It has been loose for months now and we've been doing everything from wiggling it to twisting it to get it to fall out. She is young to start losing teeth, but her first four teeth came in when she was three months old. She has another tooth that is very loose and already a permanent one coming in. Everything seems to be happenning so fast. I miss the baby stage, but I love how she's growing and becoming her own person. I love the fact that she can do most things on her own. But there are times when she still needs mom. And I relish those moments. I know pretty soon we'll have three little girls with toothy grins. And they'll grow up to become teenagers and then women. Hopefully I will have done my job right and they will be the godly women that God has intended them to be. But for now I'll enjoy doing puzzles on the floor, teaching them to read and doing the pee-pee dance. Time is too short to not enjoy the little things in life.
